A small leak in a roof rarely stays small. Water gets into the felt and the battens, then into the ceiling, and a job that would have taken a morning turns into a week. If you can see a damp patch, a slipped slate on the grass or a gutter running over, it is worth getting someone up to look.
We start by finding where the water is actually getting in. That is not always right above the stain on the ceiling. Once we know, we tell you what we found and what it will take to fix it. If a few slates will do it, we say so. If a section needs retiling, we say that too and explain why.
We also fit and replace Velux roof windows, since they sit in the roof and a lot of leaks start around their flashing. If you are thinking of adding one to an attic room, we can price it with any other roof work at the same time.

Usually, yes. We find where the water is getting in and fix that. If a bigger section needs doing, we tell you why before you decide.

Can I send photos instead of having you call out?
Yes. Photos of the roof and any damp inside help us price it. If we need to see it ourselves, we will call out.
